{"id":7205,"date":"2019-12-15T18:43:37","date_gmt":"2019-12-15T18:43:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/hyperlink-technology.com\/nesma\/?p=6612"},"modified":"2020-04-03T12:48:45","modified_gmt":"2020-04-03T12:48:45","slug":"a-run-down-of-the-revised-cim-syllabus","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hyperlink-technology.com\/nesma\/a-run-down-of-the-revised-cim-syllabus\/","title":{"rendered":"A rundown of the revised CIM syllabus"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>CIM has launched a revised syllabus for their qualifications<\/h2>\n<p>Every 5 years, the CIM updates the content in its courses to ensure students are gaining the skills and theory required at each level to progress further within their careers.<\/p>\n<p>The syllabus gets refreshed, revised and updated to reflect the ever-evolving and changing market place ensuring the\u00a0qualifications are as relevant as possible to the day-to-day realities of a marketers roles and responsibilities.<\/p>\n<p>This time there are some quite fundamental revisions by the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) across all the qualifications from Foundation (Level 3) to Certificate (Level 4) and Diploma (Level 6).<\/p>\n<p>The key change is that there is now a CIM digital marketing qualification at every level which at a glance looks like this &#8211;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/hyperlink-technology.com\/nesma\/qualification\/cim-foundation-certificate-in-professional-marketing-l3\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">CIM Foundation Certificate in Professional Digital Marketing (Level 3)<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/hyperlink-technology.com\/nesma\/qualification\/cim-certificate-in-professional-digital-marketing\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">CIM Certificate in Professional Digital Marketing (Level 4)<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/hyperlink-technology.com\/nesma\/qualification\/cim-diploma-in-professional-digital-marketing\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">CIM Diploma in Professional Digital Marketing (Level 6)<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This will allow marketers specialising in digital marketing a chance to gain industry recognition in their speciality area from the most recognised marketing institute in the world.<\/p>\n<p>They have also included more choice at a senior marketing level (Level 6) as there are now\u00a0three electives to choose from, alongside the two mandatory modules. The three elective modules tackle specific challenges faced by strategic marketers and marketing managers. Not all marketing roles are the same and now marketers will be able to tailor their strategic marketing qualification to better suit their specific development and business needs.<\/p>\n<p>The mandatory modules at level 6 are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Marketing<\/li>\n<li>Digital Strategy<\/li>\n<li>Innovation in Marketing<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The elective modules at level 6 are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Digital Customer Experience<\/li>\n<li>Resource Management<\/li>\n<li>Managing Brand<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>So in a nutshell here&#8217;s how the revised qualifications look.<\/p>\n<h3>CIM Level 3 \u2013 Foundation Certificate<\/h3>\n<p>At Level 3, the CIM qualifications are &#8211;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/hyperlink-technology.com\/nesma\/qualification\/cim-foundation-certificate-in-professional-marketing\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Foundation Certificate in Professional Marketing<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/hyperlink-technology.com\/nesma\/qualification\/cim-foundation-certificate-in-professional-marketing-l3\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener
