{"id":3388,"date":"2017-08-31T19:02:57","date_gmt":"2017-08-31T19:02:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/hyperlink-technology.com\/nesma\/?p=3388"},"modified":"2017-08-31T19:02:57","modified_gmt":"2017-08-31T19:02:57","slug":"experienced-marketer-awarded-a-cim-fellowship","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hyperlink-technology.com\/nesma\/experienced-marketer-awarded-a-cim-fellowship\/","title":{"rendered":"Experienced marketer awarded a CIM Fellowship"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3><span style=\"color: #00b5ce;\">The marketing skills and experience of one of the region&#8217;s senior marketers have been recognised by CIM.<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #00b5ce;\"><a style=\"color: #00b5ce;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/charlienettle\/?ppe=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Charlie Nettle<\/a><\/span><\/strong>, Head of Marketing &amp; Business Development at Teesside freight logistics business <span style=\"color: #00b5ce;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #00b5ce;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.av-dawson.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">AV Dawson<\/a><\/strong><\/span>, has been awarded the prestigious fellowship status.\u00a0 Fellowships are awarded to experienced marketers who can demonstrate an exceptional track record and in Charlie&#8217;s case, this has been centred upon his strategic leadership as a marketer.<\/p>\n<p>Charlie started his career in IT and education, as a Marketing Manager for a Scottish based private training provider. He moved to the North East in 2003 and shortly after, took a role at the North East England Chamber of Commerce.\u00a0 During his 11 years at the Chamber, Charlie progressed to Head of Marketing, steering the organisation through high profile projects including its segmentation strategy, its 200th-anniversary campaign and a rebrand. Charlie moved to a new strategic marketing role at AV Dawson in 2015 and over the past two years has focused on brand positioning and awareness for the business. During that time, the business won eight awards including the National Chamber Award for customer service excellence and he is now implementing a market diversification strategy to enable the business to realise its next phase of its growth.<\/p>\n<p>Charlie also chairs CIMs North East regional board and has recently spearheaded a campaign to promote marketing to young people in the region. <a href=\"http:\/\/regions.cim.co.uk\/north\/home\/ne-marketing-greats\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"color: #00b5ce;\"><strong>&#8216;North East Marketing Greats&#8217;<\/strong><\/span><\/a>, showcases 50 of the region&#8217;s top marketers to encourage the next generation to consider this career route.<\/p>\n<p>Charlie, who is also a Chartered Marketer, said &#8220;For marketing to be properly recognised for the profession it is, all marketers need to aspire to achieve these internationally recognised quality marks. CIM is the &#8216;kite mark&#8217;, setting the standards for our industry and that&#8217;s why I&#8217;m proud to receive this award.&#8221;\u00a0 He continued, &#8220;I am extremely passionate about my profession. I continue to give my support to CIM not only because I believe in what it does right now, but also because I feel that there is an even greater role for CIM to claim.\u00a0 From working with the hundreds of businesses I worked with at the Chamber, it is clear to me that the role of marketing needs to be better recognised within a business.
