SUMMARY:The Authentic Self
DESCRIPTION:Overview\nAuthenticity is the key factor when promoting your personal brand! \nWe’re living in a very crowded world with a plethora of influencers\, commentators and opinion leaders\, all proactively promoting their beliefs and gaining their followers (and fans) in return. With the rapid growth of social media and other digital communications\, we have become incredibly perceptive to fake\, inauthentic and insincere business brands\, which promote one thing and yet behave completely different. This also applies to people – celebrities\, personalities\, politicians and other people in the public eye – our ‘fake-radar’ can sense when someone is not being authentic – and let’s face it\, it’s much easier being the true ‘you’ rather than trying to be someone or something else. \nCourse structure\nThis is a bite-sized 90-minute virtual session covering the first component of personal brand creation – how to define and position your authentic self. \nIt will cover: \n\nWhat is ‘Personal Branding’ and how it can enhance your business and career prospects.\nStories can be engaging\, enlightening and educational. They can take us to another place – a different world or make us perceive and understand things differently. Storytelling is also a powerful technique for marketing our business and personal brand.\nWhat is a Unique Positioning Statement (UPS) and how can it help position and promote your personal brand.

SUMMARY:Binge marketing: The best scenario for building your brand - CIM Marketing Club
DESCRIPTION:What is the CIM Marketing Club?\nThe CIM Marketing Club has been created to help university students get the most from their CIM Accredited Degree and prepare them for a career in marketing. To complement students’ academic studies\, the CIM Marketing Club runs a series of webinars designed to share the latest thinking\, trends and techniques in real-world marketing delivered by expert practitioners.\n\nBinge marketing is all about applying the techniques and tactics the creators of films and series use to tell their story and build their audiences. And that is exactly what marketers need: better stories and growing audiences. Carlijn Postma has marketers and entrepreneurs look at their own organisation as if it were an amazing Netflix or television series. She utilises the same principles that are used in Hollywood to help organisations build their audience. This phenomenon\, binge marketing\, is becoming increasingly popular.\n\nCarlijn will show you what marketers can learn from the creators of films and series. What techniques and tactics are they using to create consistent and compelling stories? How do they attract and retain an audience? How can marketers use that to their benefit?\n\nThe session will cover:-\n\nHow to translate your brand story into the scenario of a great television series where every piece of content is an episode of that same series\nUnderstand and work with the difference between a target group and an audience\nAn introduction to the audience journey: What content is relevant to your audience at what point in its journey\nHow you’ll be inspired by everything marketers can learn from the creators of films and series\n\n\nSpeaker:- Carlijn Postma\nCarlijn lives and breathes content marketing. “Refreshing” and “practical” are commonly heard reactions to Carlijn’s approach to content marketing. She shares this unique approach as a speaker and in her books. She founded The Post\, a leading agency in content marketing and is now on her way to explain binge marketing to the world: “Start creating evergreens and stop wasting time on single-used\, disposable content”. The work she does in the world of content marketing is not going unnoticed. Carlijn Postma is an often-requested speaker at international events. In 2017\, she was chosen as the Dutch Content Marketing Woman of the Year. In 2014\, she ranked 27th on the international list of the two hundred most influential people in the field of content marketing.\n\nThe webinar will last about an hour and is inclusive of a live Q&A after the presentation.\n\n\nThis is the second of our CIM Marketing Club webinars planned for this academic year.\n\nTo register for this webinar please click here.

SUMMARY:Create a thriving culture of employee engagement
DESCRIPTION:Overview\nEngaged employees are more likely to find a sense of belonging in an organisation where they are inspired to fulfil their full potential. High levels of employee engagement are linked with increased operational efficiency\, lower wastage and reduced loss from theft and errors. The reality of employees actually ‘living the brand’ is dependent upon a strong commitment from the employee to the organisation that they feel is reciprocated. Engaged employees display team spirit contributing to a sense of purpose and identity in the marketplace by bringing the brand proposition to life. \nCourse structure\nThis is a bite-sized 90-minute virtual session to provide guidance on how to grow a flourishing culture of employee engagement that supports the aims of the brand. \nIt will cover:\n\nDo you have a strong strategic narrative about the brand\, its purpose\, history and vision linking its past to the future?\nAre there engaging line managers in your ranks who inspire their teams\, earn their respect\, listen to them and give them opportunities to flourish?\nIs there opportunity for an employee voice to be heard across the organisation that can challenge and reinforce views placing them at the heart of the enterprise?\nDoes the organization have integrity built on clear values that drive the behaviour of the organisation and sustain performance through culture?

SUMMARY:Realise the power of your brand’s Values
DESCRIPTION:Overview\nA brand’s values represent what it stands for and what it believes in; they are the guidelines that form its moral compass. Values provide direction on how to behave in any given situation; they dictate the behaviour of the brand and influence decisions. The values you choose can be applied to everything\, including the product experience\, choice of staff\, and how you react in a crisis. \nValues should be clear\, authentic and resonate with everyone inside the organisation. They need to be clearly understood by employees\, adopted by them and consistently acted upon. The brand’s values should help the organisation achieve its vision and not restrict it. Strong brands are respected for their values and are defined by them. \nCourse structure\nThis is a bite-sized 90-minute virtual session to provide guidance on how carefully chosen values have the potential to drive brand performance through your organisation’s culture. \nIt will cover:\n\nDefining Values: Immutable virtues at the heart of everything you do. These core values are the drivers of a differentiated brand experience.\nProgressive Values: The values you may not currently practice but will need to identify and work towards in order to maintain brand relevance.\nShadow Values: The toxic\, negative values that are never formalised\, but creep into a culture and can prove harmful when not observed and dealt with.\nGeneric Values: These are the basic industry values that many professional organisations identify with but lack character and ability to distinguish a brand.

SUMMARY:How to build a global brand the Vimto way
DESCRIPTION:Enjoy this free Webinar Express series from CIM\nVimto\, the unique soft drink\, made into a secret recipe\, was first created by John Noel Nichols on Granby Row in Manchester in 1908. \nAn oak monument\, carved by environment artist Kerry Morrison\, was commissioned to sit on the site in 1992 to pay homage to the purple beverage’s North West heritage. The monument sits on a lawn in Manchester University’s science campus\, among other interesting sculptures including a statue of Archimedes representing his famous theory of displacement eureka moment. A combination of enduring brands and innovation is at the heart of the North West region’s entrepreneurial spirit and Vimto’s success. \nBrand owner\, Nichols Plc sells Vimto in 73 countries worldwide\, with a significant presence in the Middle East and Africa. Vimto has a special place in the Muslim community\, being a popular drink at Iftar\, the meal that breaks the fast at the end of each day during the holy month of Ramadan. \nSpeaker: Emma Hunt\, Marketing Director at Vimto \nEmma has spent her working life at Vimto and will share insights into how Nichols Plc carefully nurture the Vimto brand in the UK and internationally from market research to the development of the brand\, innovation\, channel strategies and more. SUMMARY:Doing good things; driven by data
DESCRIPTION:Enjoy the free Webinar Express series from CIM\nThe last 12 months have reinforced the absolute necessity\, whether you’re a small business or a large corporation\, of carefully considered messaging and the importance of developing communications that take account of public sentiment. In 2020 Visit Wales published its five-year plan\, at the heart of which is ‘growing tourism for the good of Wales’ – an aim that has never had more resonance in the minds of not only consumers and businesses\, but also residents. \nLucy von Weber\, Head of Marketing at Visit Wales\, will run through the changing nature of marcomms approaches over the last 12 months and use examples to show how flexibility and adaptation\, linked to an emotional connection with potential visitors\, has been at the heart of Visit Wales’ work\, while staying true to the Cymru Wales brand. All activity has been driven by market intelligence and reinforced by stakeholder engagement to make sure that from the smallest business to the largest organisation\, there has been an opportunity to be part of the Cymru Wales approach. \nThe Cymru Wales Brand has five objectives\, one of which is to ‘do good things’. The session will show how Visit Wales has tried to do that over the last year. \nThe session will include references to:- \n• Market intelligence\n• Brand values\n• Scenario planning\n• Stakeholder engagement\n• Content choices and delivery channels \nThe webinar is kindly hosted by CIM Wales and lasts approximately 45 minutes inclusive of a Q&A session after the presentation.
